Puppet Play for Toddler Games

Aligator Puppet for Toddler GamesChildren adore puppets because they’re toys that seem to magically come to life. They’ll love them even more when you put on a live, slapstick show. You can buy some fancy puppets – Or juts use brightly colored felt-tipped pens to draw a face on a sock or a bag. You can even tape ears or horns on your homemade puppet and glue “hair” made of yarn to its top.

  • Make a stage by draping a blanket over the back of a chair of a safety gate – or position yourself behind a sofa. With one or two puppets, tell your child stories and sing songs. Try using a different voice for each puppet.
  • Ask your child questions with the puppets and encourage him to converse. Question him about his favorite foods, his toys, or his mommy and daddy. And ask him to show the puppet his nose and toes – toddlers love to point these things out.
