Toddler Games: Puppet Play

Toddlers love puppets. Puppets seem to magically come to life. Your toddlers love them even more when you put on a live, slapstick show. Give your toddler some fancy puppets or just use brightly colored felt-tipped pens to draw a face on a sock or a bag. You can even tape ears or horns on your homemade puppet and glue “hair” made of yarn to its stop.

Here the steps to play the puppets:
Make a stage by draping a blanket over the back of a chair or safety gate, or position yourself behind a sofa. Tell your toddlers stories and sing a song with one or two puppets. Try using a different voice for each puppet. Then, ask your toddlers questions with
The puppets and encourage them to converse. Question them about anything, favorite foods, toys, family, or ask them to show they eyes, nose, and toes to the puppets. Your toddler will love this game.
